FAQ’s

Does the festival pass grant me entry to all shows?

Yes! With the festival pass you can watch all shows at Reading Indie Comedy Festival including The Comedy at Taproom Showcase, our headline event, Reading New Comedian of the Year 2024 and The Sunday Roast.

Some shows may be oversubscribed so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

We will do our best to squeeze everyone in, but, if you can’t gain entry to your first choice of show there will be another show within walking distance around the same time for you to discover.

This is part of the fun of the festival!

Do I need to show my pass at every show?

At your first event we will give you a wrist band that you can use for the duration of the festival. If you lose your wrist band just use your email confirmation and we will check this instead.

Can I buy tickets for individual shows?

Yes! We have made a limited number of advance tickets available for each individual show.

These are available on Fatsoma.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Yes! Limited tickets will be available on the door for each show at Reading Indie Comedy Festival 2024.

However, the capacity of some of our venues is limited so we advise booking in advance and arriving early.

Can I sponsor the festival?

Yes! We have a number of packages available.

If you would like to receive further information about sponsorship opportunities linked to the annual Festival please email:

How do I get involved in the festival as an act or a venue?

Applications are now closed for Reading Indie Comedy Festival 2024. We will be opening applications for 2025 around Autumn this year.

Keep an eye out on forums like Facebook Comedy Forum and The Comedy Collective.

Unlike, most festival we underwrite the risk for new performers so everyone is guaranteed a fee and art is available to the working class.

However, this does mean we can only take on a limited number of shows and have to be careful with how the festival expands.
